EDUCATION COSTS
The cost to sponsor and educate a child for one year is Cdn $80.00 (or $300.00 for private school). This pays for the school registration for the year, the three mandatory annual exams, a school uniform, a school bag and supplies.
There are no administration costs in this programme, so all your money goes directly to funding your child’s education for a year.
In return for your generosity, you will receive a photograph of the child along with information about the family. In addition, we produce a newsletter twice a year to keep everyone up to date on the success of the Nepal Education Fund. The blog is updated weekly.
Your sponsored child will also be monitored and any change in their situation is reported back to you.
SCHOOL ASSISTANCE
NEF Assists Poor Schools in Nepal
With donation money and ongoing fundraising NEF is gradually being able to help poor village schools with improvements
We have provided new school desks and benches, sports equipment, books, first aid kits and maps to a school in the village of Hattiban
In the remote village of Chimhola we are providing desks, books, upgrades to floors, learning tools, etc. This is an ongoing project to help this school improve and make education more viable for its 400 students
These projects help many children and are important to upgrading education in these extremely poor regions
One time donations or a regular contribution to these projects are always appreciated. Again all your dollars go directly to the project
